About Dereli Art
Founded in 2019, Dereli Art is the contemporary face of a much longer story.
Story of a family. Story of Marmara. Story of a stone.
Our roots go back to the 1940s, when the Dereli family first started supplying dolomite from Saraylar on Marmara Island to glass manufacturers. Three generations later, the same family still works this landscape – now with calcite, block marble and a very clear idea of what a good stone should be like.
Today, the Dereli family operates in the calcite industry through Dereli Mermer Granit Maden A.Ş. and in the block marble sector through Derbent Maden A.Ş.
Dereli Art translates decades of quarry experience into marble blocks and slabs ready for real projects.
Premium marble.
For developers, distributors and fabricators.
How we see the future
The stone is ancient.
Our approach isn't.
We are committed to turning our Marmara quarry into a place where modern responsibility (sustainability) meets timeless material.
Carbon-free quarry
We are in the process of:
- •moving heavy machinery from diesel to electric,
- •sourcing our energy from renewable power, including wind.
Less noise and less pollution. Still marble.
Zero-waste production
Marble extraction always creates by-products. We don't like the word "waste".
We:
- •use all by-products as industrial raw materials and fertilisers,
- •continuously develop new applications for production residues.
The goal is simple: everything we take from the earth should find a meaningful second life.
Towards a truly global block brand
We want Dereli marble blocks and slabs to be recognised not just for their look, but for their reliability.
That means:
- •premium marbles that architects and designers actually want to work with,
- •innovative, transparent sales methods that make buying block marble less of a gamble.
What we stand for
Our mission is to build a dependable, future-facing company that treats stone, people and the environment with equal respect.
In practice, that means we aim to be:
Safe
– high standards for people on site and on the road.
Curious
– always testing, learning, improving.
Practical
– solutions that work on real projects, not just on paper.
Trustworthy
– clear communication, honest data, realistic promises.
Sustainable
– using advanced technology to cut our footprint, not corners.
Long story short:
Geology takes care of the past, but our job is to take care of the future.
